Taste Notes – Passionfruit & Habanero

Tropical and unexpected. Juicy grape and passionfruit lead, followed by bursts of pineapple and soft peach. A floral lift from butterfly pea meets a slow-building warmth from orange habanero chilli. Hints of cardamom round it out with a sensual spice.

BUTTERFLY PEA

Also known by the scientific name Clitoria Ternatea, this striking blue flower is rich in antioxidants and Ternatins. Traditionally used as an aphrodisiac for its association with increasing blood flow and sexual desire.

L-ARGININE

A naturally occurring amino acid that is converted in the body to nitric oxide. Can be associated with increased flow to sexual organs which may improve libido.

L-Citrulline

A naturally occurring amino acid made by the body but also found in watermelon! L-citrulline is often taken as a supplement due to its association with improved blood flow.

Vitamin B6

Naturally occurring in foods like chickpeas and tofu, Vitamin B6 is one of 8 B vitamins and is important for proper cell function. It can often be consumed to help regulate hormonal activity and reduce tiredness and fatigue.

    Good and tasty

    This is tasty and zingy, fresh, good for a pick me up, but a little spicy for me to drink often. No artificial taste. Good value for the quality and taste - is a flavour profile unlike most other soft drinks I've tried. Only rated 4 stars for preference - it's not my favourite of the 4. Harder to find this one in the shops - try it when you can.

    A lovely sensory experience

    When I first saw the colour of the drink I expected it to taste artificial, but it absolutely doesn’t. It’s hard to describe the flavour profile because it doesn’t taste like anything I’ve had before. I’d say it’s more floral than fruit-forward, but you do absolutely get the natural sweetness and juiciness of the passion fruit and pineapple. It’s also got a little spicy kick, but it’s not overwhelming. It has vibes of a lighter red wine in some respects because the flavours are complex, but it’s not overly sweet at all. It’s called Awaken, but it’s nothing like an energy drink and I think I could probably drink it at any time of the day without it disrupting my sleep. Really looking forward to trying the other flavours now.

    Amazing taste

    This is my favourite cocktail replacement, looks amazing poured over ice and tastes better than any alcoholic drink.
